Mac grew up in Philadelphia but in 2019 she made the quantum leap to move to Raleigh to be closer to family and to further her self-growth. She is a people person by nature and loves being able to work alongside such creative, talented people and helping them to connect with their clients. When Mac is off the clock, she finds peace and serenity in the great outdoors and within the boundless world of arts and crafts.

Merida was born and raised in Grimesland, NC but has since moved to Raleigh and considers her coworkers family. She loves being surrounded by the creative and supportive people at Alter EGO. With her hard working, can-do attitude, Merida is always striving to be her best self inside and outside of the salon. When Merida is at home, you can find her constructing new art projects, exploring nature, or rooting for her favorite sports teams - Go Wolfpack and Go Canes!

Jay was born in the Bronx, NY, but now calls North Carolina home. Her passion for hairstyling and making people feel their best has been a lifelong journey. With plans of specializing in vivid color services, highlights, and haircuts, Jay thrives on big transformations and is dedicated to achieving her clients’ desired looks. Her enthusiasm and commitment to her craft make every visit a delightful experience. Around our salon, she is known for her vibrant smile and sweet as pie demeanor. When she’s not in the salon, Jay enjoys reading, visiting amusement parks, and watching horror movies.
